Fresh arrivals, theater releases, and newly added cinema
A remake of 'The Home Studio - Wes Anderson Study', made an year later.
Remains Unsaid is a non-film created using a laser engraver. While scanning my late brother’s poetry to disseminate to family, I was fascinated with the overlapping text inherent in the editing process and the visual anomalies created by the Underwood-Olivetti typewriter. This moving image artwork is an assemblage of these artifacts, printed on transparency paper and cut into 16mm strips. The audio was captured from a projection of the film on an Eiki Slim Line.
A journey through leather, warmth and light, and the disembodied fear of catching the last train home. Our film has taken shape through a mix of live action, stop motion, and visual programming that connects the rural and the digital to form a journey in transit, flicking between both spatial planes in this search for home.
Brad Upton has spent decades finding the funny in getting older. In CODE BLUE, he may have more material than ever. From pill caddies and bad drivers to marriage, kids, generational differences and the indignities that come with aging, Brad brings his sharp, boomer perspective to an hour of comedy about a life well lived—and a body that occasionally has other plans. Behind the laughs is a deeply personal story that gave Brad a new appreciation for taking life as it comes, enjoying the ride and finding humor even when things don’t go according to plan. Funny, personal and unexpectedly heartfelt, CODE BLUE is Brad Upton at his best: laughing at life, aging on his own terms and proving there’s always something worth finding funny along the way.
A man prepares for death, washing and wrapping himself in the kafan as his mother reminds him only deeds and prayers matter. As the soul transcends the body, it confronts visions of the afterlife — demonic figures, mythical creatures, three guarded doors — exploring death through sex, drugs, and rock and roll as much as ritual and prayer. Plunged into a metaphorical sea of memory, love, and loss, he searches for his mother's voice amid the waves. He awakens on a lake shore met by angels. What lies beyond the waterfall? Sex drugs rock and roll?
Vorfreude (Foresight) is a short experimental film that drifts through the charged space before arrival. Woven from glitching images and analogue video and audio synthesis, it moves less like a journey toward something than like a figure wandering through their own anticipation, tracing and retracing the same trembling edges of feeling without ever quite touching what lies ahead.
During a couple's failing marriage, an old friend comes to visit, revealing something that changes everything.
A clinical trial briefly ends participants' lives to uncover what lies beyond death. Instead of oblivion, they arrive somewhere no one expected. Through an immersive journey driven by music and sensation, The Venue transforms the afterlife into a celebration of existence.
In 1976, during Argentina’s last military dictatorship, 17 Mercedes-Benz workers were forcibly disappeared. Only a few documents from their story have survived: some photographs taken by their coworkers, a fragment of a silent film, and documents written by police spies who had infiltrated the factory with the complicity of the company’s board of directors. Among these archives is an image of three women whose first names and occupations can only be guessed at: stenographers. Mari, one of them, is the recipient of a letter that weaves a tale of her past amid the fog of a present marked by the factory’s closure, after seventy years in the Buenos Aires suburbs.

Katherine is admitted to a public psychiatric clinic following a suicide attempt. What begins as a search for care transforms into an experience marked by abuse and institutional neglect. Through her testimony and a visual reconstruction using stop-motion animation, the documentary explores the conditions of her confinement and the dynamics that normalize violence within mental health settings, challenging the very notion of protection and care.
A reflection about the conflict between dreams and reality. The director makes a visit to the island of Paquetá, where he has memories of childhood, friendship and love.
An unnamed man descends from his garden into a series of strange and increasingly disturbing spaces, where a pale figure known as the Beak appears without warning. As reality begins to unravel, he encounters creatures of evil, a motionless woman, something concealed within a sealed black box, and a disturbing presence beneath the surface.
