On October 14th, 1941, in the rural West Coast town of Kowhitirangi, Stanley Graham is a financially struggling recluse. Born in Constantine and raised in Toulouse, he was France's best swimmer in the 1940s. Arrested by the Gestapo and then deported, he swam in the unsanitary pools of Auschwitz, from which his wife and daughter never returned. In their memory, this survivor of horror picked himself up and resumed competition until he regained his title as French Champion and once again represented his country at the Olympic Games. The story of the famous Qijiang general Wang Liang (1905-1932). More precisely, the most heroic episode in his miltary career from 1927 to 1932. In early August 1927, Wang Liang, Luo Ruiqing and others originally planned to participate in the Nanchang Uprising. They were blocked when they passed Jiujiang and were detained by the rebel warlord. After successfully escaping, Wang Liang, with the help of Qijiang fellows Liu Sihai, Yang Chunfa and others, went to Xiushui, joined the autumn harvest uprising team, and initially demonstrated his military command ability when attacking Jinping.

In September 1941, lieutenant Ilya Streltsov, who graduated from the flight school, was assigned to the fighter aviation regiment guarding the sky of Moscow. He meets in part the nurse Zoya, with whom he grew up in the same yard and with whom he has long been in love. During the first training flight on the "Seagull", lieutenant Streltsov shot down a German plane and received the nickname "Lucky." Streltsov is jealous of the squadron commander to nurse Zoya, believes that he is finding fault with him. For a whole month he is not allowed to fly sorties. In October 1941, lieutenant Streltsov made his first sortie, he shot down one plane and rams the second. For this battle, he is awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
