CBC News: Compass is a 90-minute local television news program based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada broadcast from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM each weeknight AT on CBCT-DT, the CBC owned and operated television station on PEI. It is the only PEI-specific newscast in the province, and has long been well ahead of CTV Atlantic's newscasts in the ratings. The newscast launched as a single 60-minute newscast, Compass, in 1986, with Roger Younker as its anchor from its inception until 2002. Younker became well-known and trusted within Prince Edward Island. The humorous and popular weatherman, Kevin "Boomer" Gallant, has also been with the program since 1986, and still remains. In about 1995, reporter Sara Fraser was brought on as co-anchor with Younker. But in 2000, as a result of budget-cuts, all local supper-hour CBC newscasts were replaced with CBC News: Canada Now, a hybrid national and local newscasts. Younker continued as sole anchor of the PEI-specific half from Charlottetown, with a national program following at 6:30PM local time, presented by Ian Hanomansing from the network's Vancouver studios. In 2002, with Younker's departure, former co-host and long-time correspondent Sara Fraser temporarily succeeded him for one year. In 2003, newcomer Bruce Rainnie was brought in as a permanent replacement for Younker/Fraser as the anchor, and brought his own unique style to the program. Sara Fraser continues as a frequent substitute anchor and correspondent. In May 2006, the local half of the newscast was renamed CBC News at Six: Prince Edward Island.
Nightline is a New Zealand late night news show currently on TV3 hosted by Sacha McNeil. Nightline, hosted usually in the 10.30pm to 11.00pm timeslot, has a high focus on the arts and current events. It competes directly with TVNZ's Tonight show. Nightline generally runs the entire year, its timeslot being pushed later on some occasions to cater to long-running shows, but traditionally takes a short break over the Christmas period. Previous hosts have included Rachel Smalley, Samantha Hayes, Carly Flynn, Carolyn Robinson, Leanne Malcolm, Sarah Bradley, Joanna Paul and Belinda Todd.
GRITtv is a television show hosted and founded by liberal journalist Laura Flanders. GritTV is broadcast from New York City on Free Speech TV via Dish network and on public television stations nationwide, as well as online. Distributed in multiple platforms, GRITtv is a daily, half-hour public affairs discussion program for a national audience that aims to go beyond the one-way format of traditional media.
Teletrece is a Chilean news program on Canal 13 that, since 1970, has had the title of being the longest running news program in Chilean television, replacing TVN's 60 Minutos and subsequent programs TV Noticias, Noticias and 24 Horas. Teletrece born in March 1970, succeeding the news The Esso reporter and instantly Martini. Its consolidation as television news is produced during the government of Salvador Allende, time of great social upheaval and polarization in the country.1 Since its initial duration of 30 minutes each night, Teletrece begins to extend to reach during 1973, an hour and a half in length, with three daily editions of 30 minutes, one at 14:00, under the name of Teletarde, another to 19:00, Telenoche under the name and the last at 23:00, under the name Telecierre, plus 5 min capsules for several moments of scheduling, because of the large amount of information which were produced following above background. The audience leaned Teletrece at the expense of National News, National Television of Chile, Allende charged pro-trend, 2 and Nuevediario TeleU and the Channel, 6 and 9 of the Television Corporation of the University of Chile, which the last of these was taken by workers gobiernistas.3 In the mentioned period, gain notoriety as reporters who had the facts to the audience, journalists Julio Lopez Blanco and Claudio Sanchez.

CBC Prime Time News was a Canadian nightly newscast which aired on CBC Television from 1992 to 1995. For the previous ten years, the CBC's nightly newscast, The National, had aired at 10 p.m., and was followed by a 40-minute newsmagazine package called The Journal, which was hosted by Barbara Frum. However, following Frum's death in early 1992, the CBC took the opportunity to revamp its flagship newscast. On November 2, 1992, Prime Time News debuted with Peter Mansbridge and Pamela Wallin as equal cohosts of a package which replaced both The National and The Journal, combining news and Journal-style features into a single integrated program which aired at 9 p.m. The approach proved unpopular, both within the CBC and with network audiences. The National had been produced by the CBC's news department, while The Journal belonged to current affairs, and bringing the two departments together was fractious. As well, the on-air rapport between Wallin and Mansbridge was visibly tense at times. As well, because the program aired at 9 p.m., it was competing in one of the most heavily-watched timeslots on the commercial networks. Although The National and The Journal had faced commercial competition at 10 p.m., they had been much more successful at carving out their own niche because in that time slot, almost all of the commercial networks were airing drama series. At 9 p.m., Prime Time News had to compete with popular sitcoms such as Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld and Murphy Brown.
On 28 February 1983, BBC1 started to air a selection of Ceefax pages every weekday morning at 6.00am called Ceefax AM which would lead into the start of Breakfast Time at 6.30am. It is first mentioned in the Radio Times on 21 March.
Asia Market Week is a weekly business news programme on CNBC Asia, airing on Fridays at 18:00 Hong Kong / Singapore / Taiwan time with daylight saving time. It also airs on CNBC World and CNBC Europe at various times during the week. The programme is presented by Maura Forgarty and consists of highlights of the business news in Asia during the previous week. It runs for thirty minutes. The theme music on the programme is that which was used by Today's Business on CNBC US between 2000-2002. The programme takes its name from the now defunct CNBC US program Market Week with Maria Bartiromo. Internationally, the equivalent programme on CNBC Europe is Europe This Week, a previous incarnation of which was called European Market Week.
ABC 2000 Today is ABC News's coverage of New Year's Eves around the world. Part of the 2000 Today programming in the United States, Peter Jennings anchored the 23 hours and 10 minutes of broadcast in Times Square Studios in Manhattan, New York. ABC temporarily converted the Good Morning America marquee broadcast studio into a type of "millennium command center" that included a desk, where a standing Jennings spent most of his time, two lounge chairs, where Jennings would interview guests, a large screen with a time-zone included map of the world, a wall of clocks, and a makeshift newsroom where ABC News staffers would follow the latest developments.

Asia Business Report is a business news programme produced by the BBC and is shown on BBC World News during the Asian morning hours. This programme used to be available exclusively in Asia-Pacific, South Asia and Middle East but, as of a 1 February 2010 revamp, is now aired worldwide. It is also currently aired on the UK's domestic BBC News channel 3 times daily in the early hours of the morning as part of the Newsday programme. It is broadcast from the BBC's Singapore bureau which is in the central business district of Singapore. The main presenters are Rico Hizon and Sharanjit Leyl. Mishal Husain once presented this programme but has since returned to Britain to present the main BBC News bulletin for BBC World News.

Annenberg TV News, or ATVN, is a student-produced 30-minute nightly news program serving the University of Southern California student body and Downtown Los Angeles. ATVN airs live at 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the school year on Trojan Vision 8 on campus and online on Trojan Vision's website. The student reporters also produce exclusive web content year-round on www.ATVN.org.
TV Patrol Caraga is the flagship local news program broadcast of the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group in Butuan City. TV Patrol Butuan in its first airing started when ABS-CBN Butuan also went on the air in 1999. It was first anchored by Andy Rara and Michiko Makinano then later with Trinidad Ladringan-Velasco and the present Richmond Hinayon together with Charmane Awitan. It has been the most watched and most trusted news program in Butuan and Agusan del Norte. The newscast is a tabloid-style format. The program delivers news headlines about the current events in the entire Caraga Region. Before it was TV Patrol Caraga in the present its former title is TV Patrol Butuan aired first on July 5, 1999. It is aired live daily from ABS-CBN Broadcast Center TV-11 in Butuan City at 5:00 PM, from Monday to Friday. Also simulcast on ABS-CBN TV-12 Surigao and TV-26 Tandag. It is also shown abroad through ABS-CBN Now and The Filipino Channel. They also have this popular closing words when Charmane Awitan was still the anchor saying, "Ug CARAGA maglaumon ug magmauswagon ka!" meaning, "and CARAGA be hopeful that you will progress!". In 2011 TV Patrol Caraga celebrates its 12th year anniversary and reveals their new news banner format on TV.
