Fresh arrivals, theater releases, and newly added cinema
In the 1980s, the GDR provided shelter to ten RAF terrorists. The State Security Service (Stasi) furnished these individuals — who had left the group — with new identities, enabling them to lead inconspicuous lives within the GDR. Among them was Silke Maier-Witt, a member of the second generation of the RAF, who had been involved in the kidnapping of Hanns Martin Schleyer. She recounts her experiences during her time in the socialist German state. Filmmaker Claus Räfle reconstructs how the Stasi protected these former terrorists and concealed their identities. Through interviews with Silke Maier-Witt, other contemporary witnesses, and experts — complemented by archival footage and photorealistic, AI-animated scenes (created by Helmut Fischer and Parviz Balucci) that capture the atmosphere of the era — the film unfolds as a historical documentary-thriller.

He is afraid that before long he will have to leave them. The taiga itself seems to help him. But the taiga is a force beyond human command: it can warm, and it can burn, taking what is dear.
The story follows a tragic sequence of events that begins when Yusuf, a successful lawyer, loses his infant child due to a mistake. In the aftermath, Yusuf experiences an internal collapse, burdened by profound remorse and guilt, while his wife, Ayşe, falls into a deep depression—pushing their marriage to the brink of a major crisis. The film explores the weight of conscience by drawing a metaphorical parallel between the tragic fate of the deceased infant and a "dead bee," which serves as a symbol for lost innocence and inner suffering. Centered on themes of tragedy, loss, and guilt, the narrative unfolds as a journey of internal transformation; the characters must confront their own inner worlds, seek to forgive one another, and attempt to rebuild their lives in the wake of their pain, ultimately searching for the possibility of absolution.

In the garden of a colonial villa in Bujumbura, five actors gather. They were summoned here to rehearse a theatre piece about a future in which all international organisations and NGOs have left East Africa. But now, as the director herself is not there, they cannot do anything but wait, and share a few stories. Nested in a mythological setup with an absent director, an unruly fictional character, a ghost and a wanderer, they tell stories about the sphere of development aid and the inequality it claims to fight. After an essayistic introduction, their narrations drift between report, fairy-tale and gossip. In an attempt to grasp a an increasingly elusive world, these monologues were developed out of stories, ideas and experiences from 5 years of artistic research and exchange between a Burundian and a German filmmaker.
