The action takes place in the highlands of the Chugoku region. While the owner of the Yazaki ranch is away, a gang of villains is trying to take over the ranch, which is run by his wife alone, but then the rancher's best friend, Joji, appears and saves the day. This is one of a series of Japanese westerns starring Jo Shishido.

Familial ties are tested.

A broken-down cowboy applies for work at one of the Western ranches. The boss agrees to hire the wanderer provided he can ride an unmanageable horse. He consents, rides the horse and gets the job. In accomplishing this "stunt," he arouses the jealousy of the foreman, for the latter learns that the ranchman's daughter has seen the new-comer subdue the wild animal and is beginning to fall in love with him. To prevent this the villain accuses his rival of many misdeeds, but in the end is a victim of his own folly.

Robert Mason, a young black newspaperman, exposes corrupt labor leader Mark Lethier. In turn, Mason's engagement to Vivian Lethier is ended. After several years in prison, he escapes and makes his way to the southwestern cattle country, where he falls in love with Tex Miller, a beautiful cowgirl. Mason endeavors to rid the territory of an outlaw band led by Buck Conley, a.k.a. the "Night Terror." Once he is successful, he decides to give himself up to the law, thinking that he will be sent back to prison. However, after discovering that the real murderer has confessed, he returns to Tex and the country he has come to love.
During the days of the California gold rush, Jim Shamrick toils on his claim, Hell's Crater, for two years and then decides to enjoy himself in a nearby mining camp. Bill Gordon, the owner of the local dance hall, gets Jim drunk and then, with the aid of Cherry Maurice ( Grace Cunard ), robs him. When the prospector realizes what has happened, he abducts Cherry and forces her to labor in his mine for a year. Though nearly broken by the hard work, Cherry comes to love Jim and eventually marries him.
