The first part of a trilogy of Silesian westerns by Jozef Klyk - an amateur, a great film lover who has been making amateur productions since 1967, the most famous of which are westerns. In them, Klyk combines western mythology with Silesian mythology. The film covers the period 1874-1881.

Sallie's Sure Shot

1913 Movie

Rob Ralston is forced to go to "town" for supplies, and "Injun" Jim, a sneaking rascal, announces that he proposes to jump his claim. This arouses the official ire of Fred "the star wearer," and he soundly trounces the half-breed rascal. Now Fred has an intrepid sweetheart. Sally, who is a well-spring of information and is naturally hated by law-breakers. "Injun" Jim gets reinforcements and carries off the girl as a hostage. Fred senses they are making for the mine, so he girds on his guns and goes in the same direction. The desperadoes arrange to "dynamite" Sally, but she cuts the fuse in two by a well aimed shot after they have sought safety at a distance. This saves her sweetheart Fred, who rushes to her rescue, and they both retreat to a cabin. The dynamiters are obstinate and place another cartridge, so that the cabin will be blown to pieces. The daring Fred picks up the keg of powder and rushing out rolls it down on Injun Jim and his fellow mischief-makers. They are so dazed ...

Rex is an old man who is bitter about never becoming famous and having lived a life without any meaning. After suffering a stroke, he ends up in a nursing home staffed by Latin American immigrants. Put off by the situation, he focuses his energy on getting out, which places him at odds with the Latino workers. However, their relationship takes on new meaning when it is discovered that he once shook hands with Vicente Fernandez, a Mexican singer, producer and actor idolized throughout Latin culture. The employees soon begin to treat Rex like the celebrity he's always dreamed of being.

Love and the Law

John Allen is in love with pretty Mabel Trude and the honor conferred upon Allen by the community, electing him sheriff, aids Allen in pressing his suit. The engagement is announced. Tom Trude, the brother of Mabel, is a sort of shiftless fellow and is exceedingly unlucky at cards. It required but little argument on the part of the acknowledged best man of the community to win Tom over to his gang, as he hopes to make good his losses at cards in some manner other than actual labor. The post office is held up and the sheriff called upon to bring the perpetrators to justice. A lively encounter is followed by the escape and pursuit of one of the men. The sheriff himself takes up the chase and successfully runs down the man. To his consternation, it proves to be Mabel's brother. He passes their home with the prisoner in tow. Mabel argues and pleads, but to no avail, and she finally plays her largest card--her love, against her brother's liberty

But Georgia falls in love with him and this causes problems for her partners.

Church and the boys meet the stage, and to their amazement and secret joy, find that the boy is very effeminate. What the boys do to Clarence is a scream, hut his sister, who is more of a boy than he is, gets even with them for hazing her brother, and the boys are forced to take off their hats to her.

Lee Clay is convicted by the jury and sent to prison for ten years. Tom, the son, swears revenge and determines to kill his brother-in-law for testifying against his father. Helen, the wife of Tom, goes to warn her brother. In trying to save him from her now maddened husband, she is killed. Clay and his brother-in-law end the feud over the lifeless form of Helen.
