Okaasan to Issho is a children's television program airing weekday mornings in Japan on NHK. The show consists of seasonal songs, animated shorts like Tomodachi Hachi Nin, and dances. The show is hosted by two singers and two dancers, currently Daisuke Yokoyama, Takumi Mitani, Yoshihisa Kobayashi and Risa Uehara. There are also three characters in full body costumes that meant to portray children of weather gods. One is named Raigo.
The story centers on the everyday life of the cats Suna and Manu, who live in a desert — a desert made of sugar instead of sand.

Pierre the passionate painter meets kids and paints them a picture. While he begins drawing, the children try to guess what he is painting. Pierre continues to add clues to the picture until the child manages to guess what Pierre has drawn.
The series is centered on a blue humanoid creature whose head and feet are of the same shape, making the interchangeable. Croatian Radiotelevision produced a total of 39 episodes, and the show was also broadcast abroad in countries like Hong Kong, Israel, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The show is animated using the traditional 2D hand-drawn technique, and each episode is roughly 3 minutes long.
