The California Raisin Show

1989 Series

The California Raisin Show is an animated television series based on the claymation advertising characters The California Raisins. The show is based on an Emmy Award-winning claymation special, Meet the Raisins!, which originally aired on CBS in 1989. After the show's 13-episode run, a sequel to the original special, Raisins: Sold Out!: The California Raisins II, aired in 1990. While the characters are traditionally depicted in claymation, the TV show was cel animated by Murakami-Wolf-Swenson. It did, however, maintain Will Vinton as creative director and executive producer. It takes place in a world populated by anthropomorphic fruits and vegetables and focuses on the main characters, the California Raisins: A.C., Beebop, Stretch, and Red. Each episode has one or more musical numbers.

The show follows Jess's adventures with his friends on Greendale Farm, and how they always try to solve each other's problems with a Big Question, which is answered by "asking, testing, find a way". The series is an enquiry-based learning show aimed at two to four year olds. Jess and his friends search for the answers to science and nature-led questions, allowing children to learn about the world around them.

Thunder Mask (サンダーマスク Sandāmasuku) is a partially lost tokusatsu series produced by Toyo Agency (now Sotsu Co. Ltd) in 1972. Out of the whole series, episodes 1, 3, 6-7, 12-13, 19, and 26 are known to have been preserved. After conquering numerous planets, the evil Devil Dekanda sets his eyes on conquering the earth, but three scientists manage to find a superhero called "Thunder Mask". Thunder Mask goes on to battle the numerous monsters sent down by: Devil Dekanda.

Pa a Pi

1986 Series

Pa a Pi is animated educational TV show, depicting adventures of extraterrestrial cats Pa and Pi during their visit on Earth. Show was created in 1986 to 1989 and consist from animated and acted sequences. Each episode presents one animal. Show was designed by Miroslav Duša, animated by Dalimil Koutek and directed by Miroslav Sobota, Dalimil Koutek (animated part) and Václav Pavel Borovička. Title song written by Karel Svoboda, sung by Marika Gombitová in slovak version. Show was created in studio Prométheus Ostrava in cooperation with german GOLD-FILM Gmbh Pforzheim.

Michel Vaillant

1989 Series

In 1967, French TV broadcast a dramatised adaptation of the series, Les Aventures de Michel Vaillant. 13 episodes in total, it featured stories written and filmed around the real life World Sportscar Championship, documenting Henri Grandsire driving an Alpine 110, interspersed with dramatic interludes acted by Grandsire himself. Episodes offer close up rare contemporary footage of races and cars that year at the Rallye Du Nord, Magny Cours, Nürburgring, Monza, Targa Florio, Le Mans, Monaco, Rouen-Les-Essarts, Sebring and Reims.

Onegai! Samia-don

1985 Series

Please! Psammea-don is a Japanese anime that was broadcast from 2 April 1985 to 4 February 1986 with a total of 78 episodes produced. This anime is based on the 1902 novel Five Children and It by English author Edith Nesbit. The anime differs from the novel in revolving around four children rather than five. Three of the children are siblings while the fourth is their friend and neighbor. The four children encounter the Psammead who, in the anime, is depicted as being yellow with a blue hat, and more of a grumpy and lazy being than mischievous. In Latin America, the series was known as Samed, el duende mágico and in France and Quebec as Sablotin. In the Arab world, it was known as Moghamarat Samid.
