George Thorogood is an American icon. In a career that stretches back to the mid-70's, he and his band The Destroyers have released 16 studio albums with worldwide sales in excess of 15 million. 2013 saw George & The Destroyers make their long-overdue debut at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival. Performing at an event that had previously played host to many of their musical heroes inspired the band to produce one of their finest performances on a set list that stretched back to their 1977 debut album right up to recent releases. George Thorogood & The Destroyers deliver a dozen-song set at the 2013 Montreux festival that includes his signature tunes "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer," "Cocaine Blues," and "Bad to the Bone."

This grand opera, complete with ensembles and ballets, large choruses and orchestral set pieces, is given an appropriately grand treatment in this production by the renowned Catalan theater group "La Fura dels Baus" recorded at Valencia's Palau de les Arts. In the first part of the work, Padrissa plays with the present-day meaning of "Trojans" as computer viruses: his Trojan horse carries within it the infection that will cause system failures and, ultimately, destruction. In the second part, Carthage is presented as the mysterious seat of a future civilization, where human life is heading towards self-destruction through environmental disasters.

Encore shows how the songs which are now known by heart were composed; it also shows things generally left aside: pieces of everyday life, tour diaries, conversations, including the key phrase: "You should not look at the liberty too much, you might feel dizzy.

The trials and tribulations of Natalka and Petro. Petro goes off to earn the required fortune. With no news from Petro for five years, Natalka succumbs to her mother's wishes and finally accepts her next offer of marriage, which happens to come from an old, but relatively wealthy government official.
